Alkyonides Islands “Kalanissa”: The Alkyonides Islands, also called “Kalanissa”, is a complex of 4 islands located in the northeastern part of the Gulf of Corinth.
These 4 islands have huge natural beauty with unspoiled landscapes and only a few modern constructions on them. Alkyonides in Greek mythology was the name of the daughters of the mythical giant Alkyon.
On the islands there are few buildings and the remains of an old monastery.
The historic monastery of Zoodochou Pigi was built by the inhabitants of the area in the 12th century. and there was kept the miraculous icon of Panagia ton Kalonison.
